Larry, I can never access Soundclick early morning over here - say, 2-3am your time. Maybe it needs to sleep?

Slow today ain't it. I almost gave up, but then it came on.

This board is also giving me hassles....

I concur with that. It seems to be when they are updating the 'charts' I can imagine that being a big burden on the servers.

I'm with Shad too everytime I've been on an ASP Playground forum they always seem to be really slooooow with plenty of frustrating arbitrary delays.
It's the most fun when you've just written a long post and click OK and it just stares back at you for 10 minutes...

I gave up trying to review the songs here the last couple of days it got so bad.

    Connecting......waiting.......

Even worse, when I've written a long response to someone's song, click OK, then get a message saying that the server timed out???? Arrrghhhh!!!

    Hi there Larry

If the problem you're getting is what I think it is, the forum automatically signs you out after a short period of inactivity - composing an answer doesn't constitute 'activity' it seems.

When you sign into the Cakewalk site, check the 'Save As Cookie' box - you'll never get signed out automatically again while you're typing a reply

    Hope that helps

Steve - I do have that 'save as cookie box' checked. It doesn't do it all the time tho, but there have been a few instances where I was replying (and not very long, mind you) where it timed out, and then logged me off and I had to sign in again. Not that big of a deal to me, but at times it seems to have a mind of it's own.... Thanks for the reply tho'...

That's strange Larry - before I realised what that box was for, I got so fed up of losing so many posts that I used to compose all my replies [I don't do many one-liners!] in Word and then paste them, fully formed, into the reply field!

I mentioned it because it's never signed me out since I started using cookies.

Good luck on getting it sorted anyway.

I too have the same problem as Larry, I get signed out all the time in middle of posts. Its annoying as hell. Fortunately Firefox keeps a good cache. I can usually go back and copy the text, sign back in then post it again. It always asks me to save as a cookie, but never seems to.

    Cheers
    Shad
