RE: chicken systems translator, any users?

Any experience using Chicken Systems translator, Cakewalk edition? I'd like to change a mess of Wusik sounds into sfz for use in DPro or Rapture. The Cakewalk edition is $80... Apparently it'll do Velocity and DS864 formats too..

I don't think it supports more than sfz at the moment. If you look here you can see the status of the formats it supports.

This says sfz, Velocity, and DS864... but sfz will work for DPro and Rapture, won't it?

Yeah, I use the free version occasionally on formats ESC doesn't support (into sfz), with good enough results.

old thread, i know, but since there was a question about this once... i thought i would give a copy of the response Chicken Sys gave me when i asked about DS864 support:

"We are pretty busy with lots of stuff. DS864 is one of those things that kind of "wait until someone asks for it". We have the format figured out but never bothered to write the code.
    If you can:
    1) Send us an example .ds8 (?) file that you want to convert www.yousendit.com (We have some .ds8's but just in case)
    2) Bug us when you don't hear from us
    3) (optional) Buy the program if we say we'll include it (not before we include it, but just promise - make it worth our while)"
