I doubt it. I always go by the old rule that, if it looks to good to be true, it's warez. Email the link to Izotope support - they'll tell you if it's legit and, if not, then at least you'll give their cybercops something to do this afternoon.

Sounds like a scam to either get your credit card number or sell you a bogus copy of the software (probably illegal bit torrent copies with generated serial numbers). Who do you report this kind of stuff to? They are selling Waves OEM software! For crying out loud there is no such thing as Waves OEM software.

Another indicator is the domain name, which supposedly belongs to the Harbor Assembly of God Church in Hoquiam, Washington, an apparently legitimate church. I'll bet they forgot to pay their renewal and somebody in Russia hijacked the domain name.

Or just jacked into their network and startd storing warez on the church's machines.

I worked for a major ISP years ago, won't mention the name, and we did lots of UNIX and NT software development for custom websites/webapps... We were running NT4 on the desktops at the time, and one day my buddy started getting a bunch of administrative warnings out of the blue about low disk space...

Apparently, when you installed IIS in those days, you also got an FTP service that was enabled by default, whether you knew it or not. Some warez hackers (ok, they were probably just pimply-faced MIT undergads -- wouldn't have been the fist time) scanned the network, found the active FTP port, and was using his desktop machine to share pirated games... or at least the parts of pirated games that they could upload until they ran out of disk space! The FTP directory also contained many directory entries, the names of which were messages between the uploaders/downloaders... and one of the last was something like "i_think_were_out_of_disk_space" .

An ARIN WHOIS search could not find any entry for harboragchurch.com.

tracert showed the ultimate address as 78.159.122.99, in a domain called internetserviceteam.com. ARIN WHOIS says that IP address is registered by RIPE in Amsterdam.

A query of RIPE's database turned up Omni-Tek in Montenegro, although the organization is shown as netdirekt in Frankfurt, Germany. netdirekt is an ISP and web hosting service.

The actual perpetrators could be in Frankfurt but running off a server in another country to evade German law. On the other hand, netdirekt has international customers and doesn't seem to be too picky about who they sell services to, so only netdirekt knows who and where they are.

A fake YouTube website was traced to 75.159.122.10, obviously in the same subnet as the host under discussion. The same IP address was attributed to takari.cn and tembi.cn. This probably indicates their real location: China.

So apparently a church in Washington State let their domain lapse, it was picked up by someone in China, who contracted with an ISP in Germany who put the warez website on a server in Montenegro.
