MOTU 8 PRE track recording ?

I've read all over their website, etc. and I cannot find an answer to this question.

Can you record 8 independent tracks via the firewire interface on a MOTU 8 pre sound card? It mentions that you can do it optically, but I didn't see a mention of 8 separate tracks via the firewire cable. (this is via a software program like Sonar 6)

Thanks,

- Ray

Thanks Chef. I figured you could, but if i'm going to spend that kind of money, i wanted to be sure

It's a toss up between this or the Presonus FP10. So we'll what we can get a better deal on.

Between those two units, you definitely want the MOTU.
FAR better drivers... and significantly lower round-trip latency

Ive had both and still have the Motu. The FP10 sucks. Go with the Motu
