Hey folks! I'm just curious how these panels are working. I have access to a large (31' x' 32') hall/room with a fabulous 9' Steinway. The hall is at a local music conservatory, with tile floors & untreated walls. The room needs about 24 2'x4' panels to eliminate the 'echo chamber' effect for concerts & recording. Before I purchase all the materials and jump on this project, can I get some feedback on how effective these panels have been in your studios/rooms?

Professional solutions, recommended by Auralex or GIK range from $1500 - $2400. If I make these myself, it will cost less than $500.

Well, I decided to jump on the project. So far, I've made 16 of 24 panels, hung 12, and temporarily mounted 4. My room already sounds much better. So with the extra 8 still to be assembled, I expect very good results.

Thanks for the DIY plans. They were perfect for my needs; and the UltraTouch material was excellent - easy to work with & much less of a health risk than fiberglass.
