Z3TA + Issue
Hi Cakewalk
My z3ta + VST is giving me grief, a few months ago i updated my z3ta with the 1.5.3 update because z3ta was becomming faulty, so i thought the update would fix it.
it didnt and even after re-installing 3 times and trying different updates i am still having issues.
this is the issues.
I load Z3ta into my DAW and when i change the preset while playing my track live my z3ta will freeze completly corrupting my DAW which then i have to close via task manager.
So then i try to only occasionaly switch between presets and only doing so when i have stopped playing my track it will make z3ta turn silent and freeze, but not freezing my DAW and would have to re-load the plugin for it too work again.
lastely if i load z3ta and keep the preset i am using it wont freeze but when i load the piano roll in fruityloops it is ok but as soon as i switch to z3ta from the piano roll it will freeze yet again!!!
please assist as this is making this software completly unusable.

Your DAW and Computer Specs, Please...? Is this a cracked version??? (not accusing ya or nothin', but...)  edit: not until the very end do I see that you are using (I assume) FL. What Version?

Hi, What z3ta+ banks are you using? The factory banks? Or some of your own created banks? Did you perform a clean un-installation of z3ta+ before installing z3ta+ 1.5? (remember to back up all of your z3ta+ created content before uninstalling) Try: - Uninstall z3ta+ from control panel remove programs - Click Start | Run | type "regedit" and hit enter - Delete the following folder and its contents: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\z3ta+ - Perform a file search for files named 'z3ta+*.dll', and delete them manually (this includes both synth and effect versions). - Now run the 'z3ta+153Setup.exe' installer - Then re-set/rescan your VST plugins inside of FL Studio

Also other things worth investigating: - You are running the latest patch for FL Studio - Does the standalone version of z3ta+ run properly on your system?

Hi
I am running latest, i have asked Imageline and they believe it is a cakewalk issue.
as all my plugins work fine besides this one.
yes it does, but the reason it isnt working is when i change between z3ta and the piano roll etc. it will then freeze.
cant really change between screens in standalone

Why wont cakewalk assist me to finalize this issue? i dont understand??...
quite saddended that i cannot use my cakewalk software and that i cannot be assisted :(

I have same issue using z3ta with Fruity loops.
Crashes when I go to Piano Roll using the Z3ta Vst.
All I can say is there was no problem with Z3ta when using Fruity Studio XXL 7.
The problem started when I installed Fruity Studio XXL 8.
I think Imagline have changed something in their code which now effects Z3ta and causes it to crash.
