Music 2000/3000

Hey guy's, just posted up some old songs that i made using Music 2000/3000 on the playstation, I've since used Reason, Sonar and Logic, but i don't think i've ever found a program that compares with these! I guess in those days i was less obsessed with quality and production and still think that my songs were better then! If only a pro version of "music" would come out on the mac/pc eh.

Anyway, it would be nice to know what you guys think of my tunes made with such "unpro" software! So please click on the myspace link below!

Cheers

matt

I think you should redo "The Drum" with some really heavy guitars. It's got a really cool feel to it that needs to be fleshed out more. Spring and Cat Wonder, I'm not so sure about.

I really like the track Spring, good mood and pace. The other four tracks are OK too, didn't grab me the way Spring did though.

Matt, I listened to a little bit of each song. Production wise not that great compared with some of the pro sounding results I hear from sonar, but considering the software nice job. I occasionally go back and listen to some of my pre-sonar stuff. It doesn't hold a candle to sonar but I'm still proud of that art. And you should be proud of your efforts too. Hey, art is art, production is production. Thanks for sharing.

Hey thanks for having a listen! All i can say is that they are what they are really. Production is not all that, but at the time of making those tunes, sound quality was not at the forefront of my mind! I might go back to the "music" programs one of these days just to see what results you can get with a little bit more knowledge!
    Cheers
