I still can't get cut to work on a segment of a track. I either get all the tracks highlighted or one single track. Is that the secret that you have to split it first? I feel pretty useless not being able to do a generally simple task. I just end up recording the whole track over again because it is easier.

Yes if you want to take out say bars 3 and 4 split at the end of bar 2 and the end of bar 4 and highlight bar 3 & 4 section and cut or delete.

I'd Seize the day but i can't quite reach it!
