Solo piano piece

Finished right as tropical storm Hanna was bearing down. Still needs a name though so suggestions are welcome.

Jeff this is a nice piece.

Can you say more about the instrumention, etc.

When it started out I thought right off of Kansas (the group not the state). It quickly went away from there and stood out as an original piece.

    Well done

Jeff, what are you using for piano samples? Sounds really good. "Hanna" would be a good name. Very well performed, lots of feeling. Mix and production are good too.

Ron Instrumentation? Well, it's a piano Sonar 7 plus the Native Instruments Akoustik Piano. Kansas - that's one I hadn't thought of when I was working on it, but, yeah, I can hear it.

Tom Thanks for the suggestion! The samples are the Steinway grand from Native Instruments Akoustik Piano.

    Janet Thanks!

That's a really nice song Jeff - outstanding on the piano. I like the sound of that Steinway grand.

BTW, 8 inches of rain poured down on me today - Hanna drenched DC before it went up your way.

Thanks. Native Instruments Steinway is indeed a beautiful instrument.

Hanna turned out not so bad here in NJ. Little bit of rain and not really even much wind.

Nice work Jeff. Interesting harmonic interplay and nice variation in dynamics between the faster and slower sections. Well done.

Very skilled playing Jeff. Beautiful composition too. It's nice hearing a solo instrument like this. No room for error. I enjoyed this. Nice seperation on the keys too.

Then double well done. It sounds challenging to play. Kudos.

    Hi Jeff,

Love it, really effective piece. Always a difficult thing to hold the interest with an instrumental; with just one instrument it's way, way harder. You pulled that off in style here, beautiful work.

I'm afraid I have nothing to say that you haven't already heard. Very skillful playing, composition and arranging. I really like instrumentals that have a sense of direction as though they are moving the listener through time, space or emotion. This one definitely does that. Nice periodic return to the main melody hook without overdoing it.

Hanna sounds like a good title.

    Jeff.

You are very good at expressing emotion with your work, there is a tangible positive and good mood vibe in all your music which sets it apart.

    I enjoyed this a lot.

Outstanding song this. I love piano solos.
What about EVASION for the title as in; an act or instance of escaping, avoiding.
The beginning sounds like running and panic, as you escaped the storm. the song then calms down, as does a storm.

    Regards
