    Very nice tranquil piece.

Is the electric piano mic'd up or is it a midi recording?

    Hi Janet,

I couldn't get my fussy pc to play it.

I'm fascinated to know that Vangelis was a dolphin.

    I'll try later on.

    Thanks.

EP is actually kurzweil pc1x through my mixer. Strings are vst's. Opening strings are played with kurzweil, and solo viola is played with another midikeyboard.

Everything is recorded live, and as midi.

I was about a minute in and I was thinking to myself... I am not hearing a Vangelis vibe at all... then at 1:30, it started to sound a lot more like it.

Well done. I think this was creative and interesting. It had a bit of a Blade Runner sound to it at times.

Hard to comment on the mix as Youtube is a less than excellent medium for publishing music.

    Cheers

    Hi Janet,
    Enjoyed the piece.
Sure put that dolphin to sleep...thing didn't move the whole tune.

I enjoyed the tune. I like the feel of it. I don't know if I have the patience to write something so subtle, well done.

That was enjoyable to listen to, and it does sound more Vangelis-like as the song goes on - thanks for posting

    Janet,

I finally got a listen. It is a lovely tranquil piece. i find that opening/recurring theme to be especially haunting. I wish you had the piece up at a music host besides youtube as the sound quality is lacking there.
    Thanks for sharing this.

Janne, great orchestration! What samples are you using? This piece gets better as it goes, very good. So soothing and relaxing. Progresses beautifully. Well written.

    Hey Tom. Thanks for feedback.

EP is from Kurzweil PC1x, Opening strings are from Halion Symphonic Orchestra, solo viola from Vsl special edition.
