Kontakt Player 2 and XP 64 / SONAR 7

I'm going to be purchasing Symphobia (which uses Kontakt 2 Player) to use with Sonar 7, and this will be my first foray into the world of NI Kontakt. I'd like to run Sonar 7 64 bit version with XP 64 because on the same machine, I'll want to access Vienna Instruments 64 bit version (take advantage of 8 gigs of RAM)

My questions are:
1. Will Kontakt 2 Player run as a 32 bit vst inside Sonar 7 64 bit?

2. If not, could I run it in something like Chainer or VStack?

Thanks in advance!

Kontakt 2 Player works fine in XP x64 although use should make it LAA (Large Address Aware). You can use a program called LaaTiDo to do this. Also, I had to uncheck multiprocessor support in Sonar as Kontakt was popping and clicking like crazy. I've been using it along with Vienna Instruments VE2 64 bit.

Thanks for the answer. Just so I'm clear on it, are you using Sonar 32 bit in XP64 or Sonar 64 bit in XP64?

And how much RAM can Kontakt Player take advantage of in your XP64 system?

    Thanks again,

it's a 32bit app so the max it will address is 3GB, even if LaaTiDo works (which it often doesn't). Realistically that means 2GB
And if you have too many apps, plugins and samplers running and it pushes K2 into the memory space above 2GB it will crash.

I'm using the 64 bit version of Sonar.

3 GB would be the max although I've never used over 2 GB. Without using LaaTiDo, Kontakt didn't seem like it would load past 1 GB and I was having Kontakt just hang when loading. Haven't had this issue since making it LAA.
