Why does EZ Drummer take so long?

When loading up the Nashville kit, it takes about 2 and a half to 3 minutes to fully load up and I have a quad core system. 2-3 minutes is not so bad in the grand scheme of thing but if I change kits, I've always got that delay. Any tips on this?

Does the new Superior incur these same type of load up delays?

It is likely that the samples are being converted to a sample rate and bit depth that are not the same as theirs. EZdrummer samples are 16 / 44.1.

and you would be correct. I am recording 24 bits at 48k. I deem there is no way around this, correct?

It loads it up into Ram. Thats why it takes time to load. When you exit out of the project, it dunps the ram and when you open sonar back up, it loads it again.

In their drumkit from hell app there is a cache button where it only loads a sample when a specific midi note calls for it. I'm surprised this simple feature is not in the ezdrummer app.
