edirol fa-66 with presonus digimax fs

i can't seem to make them sync. i'm using a sattelite laptop with sonar 7 studio. i'm trying to sync them at 48khz with ADAT, and i've followed all the instructions and stuff but it still doesn't work. any tips?

    What is set to master and what is set to slave?? (whats controlling the clock??)..
    In options/audio/advanced, what is the sync set to? Try Trigger & Freewheel.

    ok, the sync is set to trigger & freewheel, how do i set the master and slave?

    The FA only has a SPDIF connector which works "stereo",
    ADAT is a 8-channel system..
    that's why you don't get it to work..
    you could use the Digimax as a mic-preamp.. but that would mean that 6 mic-inputs of the Digimax are useless..
    if you want to expand your system then please post a new thread about it,.. the FA-66 is kind of a one-way-road.. you can expand it either with a FA-101 or with a SPDIF-compatible (stereo) preamp.. those both options don't make too much sense though..
