How to transpose REX files

and see how you get on, as it support REX / RX2, but as I use Kontakt I don't use it.

there's always the issue of the pitch / length of the slices changing as well. I use recycle and thats the only real way to edit recycle files, apart from bouncing the audio out again and doing the modifications yourself. Although not everything can be done in recycle (which I find a pity).

I wish i could somehow turn the REX loop into an audio loop so I could simply copy the bass riff from measure to measure and use TRANSPOSE.

One easy method is to load up the Rex file in Dimension LE, then use your keyboard controller to transpose it over an octave.
Use the area two octaves below middle C. If you have Dimension Pro, there are more options than that available to you.

I know this thread is probably long dead, but . . . As Pierre says above, RXP can be put into LOOP mode and it does a rewlly beautiful job of transposition - no artifacts or aliasing even on long stretches. And that's fine for using it from a midi controller. But how about those of us that want to do that in a midi track? Yeah, I've read about freezing and extracting waves, etc. But then you lose RXP's wonderful transpose ability and are burdened with trying to find something that will do the job as smoothly (rare indeed, in my experience). It's hard to figure why this wasn't included in RXP; the ability is there in the interface, but you can't get at it from a midi track? Hmm.
