Finally, Project 5 has been updated...

It is confirmed.

It will have all the features the Project5 userbase requested, and much more.

This major release is being referred to by several well-respected Cakewalk insiders as "Sonar 8". Interesting name indeed.

Preliminary information leaked about it's features include "Integrated Synth Tracks" and something called "Beatscape Loop Instrument".

As usual with Project5 releases, a powerful softsynth will be included. This synth may be similar to those found in previous P5 updates.

If my suspicions are correct, this may be the most expensive P5 upgrade yet.

Stay tuned for more info...... possibly late September.

I have authentic analog drum machine samples.

so far, this new p5 update that i've been reading about on the Sonar forum hasn't gotten me all that excited. i think there's a chance i may stick with 7PE and keep my eyes peeled for p5v3 (without holding breath)

DayDrumFour.... I think you may be right :)

As I said in another thread, I have some interest in Sonar 8. I love Cubase, but hate the dongle, so if Sonar can deliver the goods for me..... then I'm there.....

What I really like is that, for only $495.00 more, they will port it to Symbian OS so you can multitrack, mix, and master on your mobile device.
