Melancholic CD update 9/24/08 - not looking good for a CD
after having some issues with cafepress, they finally have it up on my site. I ordered one to make sure everything looks good before I post the link. I should have it by tomorrow i think. I will keep everyone posted. also, please note that this is a none profit CD. I have the price set to what cafepress charges to make the CD. its $8.99 no mark up. yep,...that took way longer than i wanted it to. more info soon :D

Nice to see you finally got the time to finish this. Thanks for the work you put in and to whoever ended up mastering it, I think it was Chris In Indy. Now, where's the link to buy?

Update: Cafepress is aware of teh issue, but does not have a date when it will be fixed....... I requested that they manually fix it. all the rest of the artwork looks great. its just the CD tray and back cover that is off. this might be awhile. I will keep everyone posted.

Sooo,..according to cafepress forums,..this has been a problem for 10 months now.................. the tray card, and back cover templates do not load correct sizes, and you get a white border around both. Im open for suggestions. waiting for cafepress to fix the issue isn't one of them.....

That really sucks. You could have a slipcover style one printed at the place I just used, they don't have a minimum # to purchase... price it out. Mine was expensive ($3 per) because I went for all the bells and whistles...

These are just ideas, not particulary good ones I know but Redesign the cover so that it's white and the border won't be noticeable Redesign the cover to make it look like a polaroid (white border not so noticeable) with Melancholic written as if it would be under the photo on a polaroid the actual cover being the photograph Use a different company, CD Baby etc.

Nice Ideas, but still running into the issue of spending money upfront, which I dont want to do. Im not looking to make money off it. that is why I went with cafepress, because i could set everything up for free, and just set the price at cost. I also wouldnt have to worry about shipping, cafepress takes care of everything.
