DVD Burner - Advice?

So I need to get a DVD burner; having just a CD burner is getting me down. I'm looking at the following for my PC, running Win XP SP3:

EBAY DVD-Burner

What do you think?

Thanks!

The nice thing about taking a chance on something cheap is that, if it doesn't turn out well, you haven't sunk much money into it. I have been buying the same OEM Samsung Light-Scribe DVD burner from Micro Center for $35, and they've all been fine. I say, give it a shot.

    I just bought this one:

...not knowing which one to buy either. But I figured that I didn't have too much to lose, and it *is* a Sony unit--so it must not be too bad. Well the thing is great; not a hiccup. For the money, I think I picked a winner.

DVD RAM. Is that the media, or the burner itself. Excuse my ignorance but this is new to me.
    THANKS!

thing about drives now , is they are pretty cheap to buy new. It's the thing that I've replaced over the years most with machines..

although I have a drive which is only a 4 speed cd scsi drive and it still works years later.. they don't build em like they used to
