Dave Grohl

Hello,

Just wanted to know, what does Dave G do to his vocal tracks to get the effect that he does. Is it just layered or is there a solid delay that gives it the fullness?

Chorus maybe.. Reverb??

I dunno, im drunk and it sounds bloody good.

I think he might double his tracks. I've done that before and it sounds great. An oldie but a goodie!

the fact that he has a killer, distinct rock and roll voice doesn't hurt. try lots of cigarettes and whiskey first thing in the morning!

Definitely! And possibly triple or quadruple tracking too. Just listen to "Big Me" from the Fighters' first album!

Layering has been a very common trick used for many many years.

Also, try gargling with roofing nails.
