Built a new DAW desk today

Simple and to the point. I had a bunch of spare wood, and used a "build your own" system from lowes for the base. Gave it a quick coat of red paint and done. The materials cost me less than $40!

I'm stuck in the past, but my foot's tapping forward

Sonar 6PE, I thought it would be nice to have a tune on there where the mixing board can fill the screen for the pic.

Nice job, wish i was the build stuff type, but looks great. Might have a go at expanding my small computer desk. Thanks for the inspiration. Cheers

I have a disease...I build all sorts of crap...Almost all the parts were homemade, and the car has been a national club record holder for HP and ET for the stock block and valvetrain with the oem power adder. I made quite a name for myself in the racing scene over the past several years; but I'm scrapping it to get back into music.

Looks great!! I did something very similar...saved myself a ton of $$

I bought a $99 desk from Office Depot then went to Home Depot and bought a few pieces of wood, some black paint and bought a couple rack rails online. It turned out great and I have a very compact yet functional desk that holds dual monitors, JBL 4326's, 6 outboard boxes rack mounted, keyboard tray and room for my Axiom 66 key as well.

You can see a few pictures from the studio link in my signature...
