Looking for sampler / soundfont compiler

Hey.

I have wav-files of multisampled instruments.
They are sampled for example as

bass note c3.wav
bass note c5.wav
bass note a5.wav
etcË™

I'm looking for free sampler, which I could use to compile wav-files as single instrument, soundfont preferably.

I've tried several programs, but I've encountered for few problems.
a) program is not free ( saving disabled )
b) it requires soundblaster card

I'm intenting to use instruments ( when compiled ) in Sonar.

A simple gui would be useful, as I have 12000+ wav-files to compile.
And an option to place samples in keyboard scale.

Do you have any suggestions, please ?

    Moi Janne

Maybe this works for you - Viena - http://www.synthfont.com/
There are commercial ones like Awave Studio, etc.

If you like to build SF2 libraries

    as for a sampler
    http://vemberaudio.se/shortcircuit.php

might be of interest to you.

things like vienna do check if you have a sound blaster installed. If you really wanted to use that, you could use it with a low end sound blaster without much problems.

I tried to install it on this machine without the SB, and 2.4 and 2.3 tell me to get lost.. work fine on my machine with the SB I guess.

there are older versions I "think" might have worked without the card being present BUT there were vulnerabilities in the code or something, from what I was reading .

Yes, Vienna works w/ SB products only. Just check the spelling (Vienna vs Viena) ... we are talking 'bout different products. Vienna comes fom Creative ... Viena from SynthFont.

Yes, Viena works fine with me.
