BBC: THE STORY OF THE GUITAR (three-part series)

Hi guys

This should be of interest for those of us who can receive BBC1.

There are 3 x 1 hour programs, starting next Sunday [5th] at 10.20pm [BST] on BBC1:

In The Beginning (1 of 3)
Series in which Alan Yentob explores the history of the instrument, tracing its development from ancient Hittite cultures to the effects-laden devices of today.

    Hi Steve

This does look good - saw a trailer the other day. I shall certainly be sat in front of the box on Sunday

    LOL!!

I must admit, this could be very good or very bad, depending on which BBC documentary turns up on the day!

If it's a good 'un, the BBC are hard to beat for their documentaries but if it's bad, it could be awful - Alan Yentob presenting makes me highly dubious Mark

Still, the trailer looks interesting, we'll have to see.

I used to buy their records but they haven't recorded in ages. What ever happened to the Ancient Hittites -- was it the drugs?
