cakewalk updates...

i know i've already gotten an answer to this question but i don't want to go looking for it through all these forums.

i use music creator 2, and have vista. this os doesn't seem to let me mix my projects into mp3s. right?

i believe i need an update, can anyone shed some light on this?? :)

    MC2 is not designed to work with vista, so there may be several functionalities which are not operative, I don't know for sure. MC4 is the first version (and the current version you can buy) which is vista compatible.

    however, if MC2 is working on your system and you just can't create mp3's it might not be because of running MC2 on vista, it might be because your 30 day trial of the mp3 encoder has expired and MC wants you to purchase the upgrade in order to continue.

    the real test would be to see if MC2 will create WAVE files from your project. if it can do that, then you can convert the wave files into mp3 using lame or some other free encoder.
