What I found interesting after viewing the Sonic State video is that the hardware synth is expandable. If that is expandable, could it be possible that other expansions maybe possible? Such as hardware FX? Or DSP cards to take some burden off of the computer? I also like that the I/O section is expandable by buying a second I/O box.

I'm under the impression that the synth portion is only expandable because it's built around the already-existing Fantom line of hardware, which includes sound library expansion card support. Since Roland's line of standalone hard disk recorders has expansion options for signal processing, I suppose it's possible that they may have designed some kind of similar support into the audio interface, but to be honest I'd be kind of surprised if that's the case.

Kinda like my Icon. You can just keep on addin on faders 16 at a time.

I'm still hoping for internal dsp processing....... ROLAND/CAKEWALK are you listening????

ORIGINAL: Big Reg I agree but I hope that it is affordable. Pre-review in this month's SOS - expected cost in the UK is less than £2,000
