Any good FREE piano sounds?

I've been using DimPro for a few months, and overall, it's got some great sounds in it, but I'm disappointed with the pianos. My ancient Roland JV totally blows DimPro out of the water when it comes to pianos.
So, anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has been able to find any good sounding, FREE piano sounds that I could use instead. (I know there are things like True Pianos, which sound great, but I'm not ready to take the plunge for that just yet.)

Here's a list of free pianos/e. pianos. Can't vouch for any of them.

The 72 MB version of the Splendid piano soundfont is free and sounds pretty good. The 256 MB version costs $20, and in my opinion it is the equal or better of software pianos selling for 5-6 times as much.

You can find both versions at:
    http://www.soundcreationsinc.com/tech/splendid/grand._collection.html

You can convert these soundfonts to SFZ files that can be read by Dimension, Rapture, etc. easily using the SFZed free converter:
    http://audio.clockbeat.com/sfZed.html

Just load it in and push the button. The resulting file sounds great in anythign that plays an SFZ instrument.

    Regards, lightninrick

Better than DimPro for free -- that might be a tough order.

DSK has a new acoustic piano out. You might try that as he does a good job with most of his synths, and he's been extraordinarily busy lately.

There's another little one that I tried once for kicks, and thought it was pretty good for what it was. I think it was called Jazz Piano? That may not be right. It's from a guy who does mostly Middle Eastern and Indian instruments, but that may not help you. His instruments are always small, and do one particular thing. He's got a few exotic instruments, and this piano. There's hardly any control on the instrument -- you load it, setup your MIDI, and play. The graphic is a simple piano image, almost cartoonish. Search, and you'll probably find it.

Do you know about KVRAudio.com? Best source for VST information.
