cheap mp3 woes....I'm desperate!

A couple of years ago I purchased an el cheapo mp3 player for my wife (AVB 1 GB). She never liked it or used it but managed to lose the cord that connects to the PC via USB. I have searched high and low for that dang thing here and finally decided to buy another. I purchased a USB A to Mini B thinking that was the correct one but it isn't. The mini B is still too big to fit the MP3 player. I have searched online, been to the manufacturer's site, looked in the manual.......UGH! I cannot find one that comes close to looking correct. I have no idea what it is other than to say it is standard USB on one end and just slightly smaller than a mini B on the other end. I know mowing season is almost over here in VA but I sure would love to have this little player to use while mowing.

HELP! Anyone have any ideas??? I am going to go to Radio Shack tomorrow with the unit and maybe Best Buy but I have no faith that I will find what I need.

Thanks for any help.

Jamz, thanks! I was at that site but somehow missed that. It looks like it might be the one. At least I can suggest micro USB when I go looking and if I come up empty handed, I might just order that one.

beware, most mp3 players have a customized usb cable input. It may look almos like a standard input, but there may be a notch or something in it that makes it exclusive so just be careful there

Thanks Lance. You are right about the subtle differences in these cords. I just looked at one in Best Buy that said micro yet it clearly would not fit. Radio Shack just wanted to sell me a new MP3 player. Talk about role reversal!

Thanks for the help folks. I'll just abandon this piece of junk and chock it up to a bad decision.
