Newbie needs some help...

I'm new to all this so please bear with my dumb questions. I just installed SHS and am going through the first tutorial. (1) I can't find the demo file SONAR_HS7_AudioDemo1.cwp in the Template files folder in order to continue with the tutorial. (Im trying to learn here by doing the right thing first but dont seem to be having any luck...) (2) I tried playing couple .wav files in Sample Content via the Loop Explorer View just to make sure it plays and I got a fatal error message and SHS had to close "abnormally". (3) When installing the software, I selected a folder other than Program File, which is the default. It seems like I have the .exe file in the destination I specified but the Audio Creator LE, Sample Content, Vstplugins are all over the place on my computer. Don't they have to be in one single folder to work? Thank you in advance for your reply!!

If you are "new to all this", why did you feel it necessary to install anything in any other location than what is the default?

No. Until you understand the folder/sub-folder structure of SONAR, you would be best served by not changing ANY of the default intallation settings.

Thank you Papa2004! I took your advice and reintalled the DVD using all the default settings and I'm progressing along the tutorials OK.

Generally, when I'm in need of help and I present my issue to the entity which to the best of my knowledge at the time would if not provide the solution would at least gently guide me to one which to the best of their knowledge bring me still closer.
Thus, this my first encounter via a Google search on "SONAR_SH7_AudioDemo1.cwp" I take the first entry and what do I get?
I have to read some helpless newcomer ("NuBe") to Cakewalk getting a blow off job!
Of course Google had other choices. One that, to its credit, is from the same forum - this one - and in a tone of welcome, accommodation and support I like to see to answer Nube's question.
    It's: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=1933661&mpage=1&print=true.

PS: This is the Google link. I could not find it here.
PSS: May my 6496 post have even greater intolerence for arrogance.

I guess it was the luck of the draw that your first click got a 2 1/2 year-old result that seems a little angry.
I hope you have better luck in the future. There are lots of folks who are happy to help.

    Are you serious LOL!!!
If you google for other softwares  tutorial content that is only included on the installation DVD of the software, how much hits do you get??

I don't actually understand your post at all. Why did you send it. Should you not have sent it on the Google forum??

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
