"Consequently"

Here's my latest song "Consequently":
http://www.myspace.com/karlwhetzel

It's put together using Project5. I used primarily DimPro, Triangle II, PSYN II and Rez 2.0 for this one. The only hardware synth used was a Yamaha S08 for a lead sound.

All I can say is that was one well performed prog-rock/fusion piece. Lot's going on in this, but, it all gelled together nicely. Excellent.

Very intricate and finely woven. Sounds like you'd need a slide rule to compose this sort of thing, very impressive.

Love the guitar sound toward the end and then just dropping to the solo piano.

    Clever composition excellently executed.

Cool tune - this gave me a 'Deep Purple' vibe - exciting, full mix.

Nice contrapuntal. I really like how the song moves through it's phases and how it drops in to the piano break then kicks back in. Great grove. Good choice of synth sounds. Well done.

    Karl

I used to know some Whetzels that lived in MD. Any chance you are one of them?

I like the piano break, it fits perfectly in there. Nice choice of instrumentation throughout the piece.

    Well done

Everyone: thanks for the feedback and comments. The piano break and ending are probably my favorite parts of the song . I really enjoy doing these "proggy" types of compositions, but they do take a long time to put together (particularly when one has a day job ).

rolifer: No, I'm from Virginia, the Shenadoah Valley area. But who knows? The MD Whetzels might be distant relatives. Do you still live in MD?
