S8-Can't Add New Softsynths to existing Projects

Hello,
If I open a new projects, synths work fine. If I open ANY existing project, with or without existing softsynths, Dimensio Pro, RealGuitar, Superior Drummer, the synth will not play. My FW-1884 shows the midi activity, but no sound comes from the synth. Anyone else having this problem?

So you are actually able to add synths (which is not what your subject header suggests)
but you can't here them play??
Di you migrate settings from your previous version of Sonar (if this was an upgrade)?
Just curious as a few people on here say you shouldn't but I would think yours might be a good argument for
    doing so.
