Ctl l groove clipping

Ctl l groove clipping

When I take a bar or two of midi data that I would like to expand 8 measures and hit Ctl L, to groove clip it expands my selection to the first beat of the next measure? I make sure I dont have any notes hanging over into the next measure. I cant seem to get it to groove clip without the extra beat.

    if you open clip properties by right clicking a clip .then go to the audio streching tab and adjust the "beats in clip for exsample 8 or 16 or whatever....not sure if this is what you mean but that helped me onse,,,goog luck
