Assigning a drum to an instruments track (SHS7)

I like the new SHS7 interface, but sometime simple thing seem arder to do (or simply not possible).

I'm not able to assign a drum map to an instrument track. When I insert a standard Midi Track, I'm able to specify a new drum map in the output. This option is not available for an instrument track.

Is anyone know how to insert the new Studio Instrument Drum as an instrument track and get a drum map in the step sequencer view ?

    I don't have SHS7, but I'll guess;

    in the sonar forum, they say it's possible to separate the instrument track into the traditional MIDI/DX output tracks. hopefully that is still available in SHS7 also. try doing that and then see if you can assign a drum map to the MIDI track.

    Hi. I have found those instructions in the Sonar 8 forum :
    1) right-click on instrument track / "split instrument track"
    2) make changes to MIDI track
    3) right-click on instrument track / "make instrument track"

    But this option do not appear when I right click on an instrument track in SHS7.
    They don't mention it either in the help file.

    Do someone can try to assign an drum map to an instrument track with SI-Drums and tell me that I'm wrong ?
