Omnisphere

I loaded Omnisphere and upon completion, all registration codes entered successfully, the manual states Now remove Omnisphere from your host sequencer and then Re-insert Omnisphere into your host. Can someone tell how to do this
Thanks

I think your just suppose to launch Omnisphere in your fx bin like any other synth or effect in Sonar, then insert the license info, then delete omni out of the bin, then put it back in the bin to use it. I don't have Omnisphere but that's how it's done with some other plugins.

Yep, that's it. It just means to delete that one instance after you have entered your data, then you are good to go.

Talk is cheap; supply outweighs the demand.

Light travels faster than sound, that's why some people look bright before you hear them speak.

I don't mean to sound stupid can either one of you can walk me slowly of how to rectify my problem. after installing all six disks I launched sonar 7 and I click on Insert-Soft Synthesis went to vstplugins and chose omnisphere. The omnisphere screen came up and I registered the product after it gave me a code. I tried to launch omnisphere and cakewalk hangs. I have to get out of the program. Everytime I try to load omnisphere it hangs. Does not do that with any other plug ins. In addition Can you guys walk me through this step by step of how to make this work. Omnisphere tech support is a no show. A week has gone by and they have not returned my phone call. I don't get it you spend almost $500 and they can't offer some tech support on their product. I have been reading on other posts there are a number of other issues with omnisphere so you would think after all this time they would have ironout all these problems Thanks

    What are your system specs?

BTW - Spectrasonics is a pretty small company actually - they are slow (especially now) but you will hear back from them.

BTW - I find that e-mail works much better for their support.

Can u describe your problem in a little more detail? What do you mean cakewalk hangs and Omnisphere hangs. Do you mean both interfaces become non responsive. Are you able to get beyond the Omni splash screen view?

Did you install the Omni patch update?

Prior to this patch, it took Omni a long time to load up - when you say it hangs, how long did you wait? What are your system specs?

Looks like he may be off the forum for now.

While we're on pause (if gbc12 woudn't mind) - do any of you guys have it yet? What do you think?

No demo tunes posted yet - just curious if it's as cool as I think it's gonna be.

There has recently been a update to Omnisphere released that you may wanna look into. Also you may want to try reinstalling Omnisphere and go to Sonars plugin manager and press the "Reset All" button and rescan your plugins. Then try launching the omni synth from both fx-bin and synth-rack cause i've seen situations where one worked but the other did'nt.

I bought it and its pretty cool. Very deep and still haven't begun to scratch the surface. Amazing sounds..... mostly cinematic score type stuff but mangle it through KORE or Kombinat and it starts getting really fun.....

Hi Guys Downloaded updates and finally it loads. I am experimenting with sounds but I do get static noise comming out of speakers on various patches. It tales a few seconds everytime I load a new sample. I am running this out of my notebook and my system runs Windows Xp 2 Gig RAM, 160MG hard drive Intel Pentium 1.7 GIG HZ The static part I dont understand I am playing a moog sample and everytime I press another key you hear crackling sound. Dont hear that with other plugins. Thanks for help

Don't they recommend 3.0GHz or higher? That's what prevented me from considering Omnisphere. I figured I could only run one instance of it on my dual core 2.2GHz AMD, and I probably wouldn't be able to do anything fancy. If your CPU is underpowered, that could explain the behavior you are observing.

I'm running Omnisphere on a 2.0 ghz c2duo macbook. I even have the content on an external USB drive. It has been running great. I have only ever used three instances of it at once so I'm not certain how far I could push it.

I'm still kind of uncertain what I think of it. My big beef with atmosphere was that there wasn't much you could do with the sounds. They always sounded like atmosphere. Omnishphere seems to have resolved that with its deepediting. I still don't like how processed (reverbed, Eqd, delayed) the source sounds are. It makes it difficult no make it not sound like omnisphere (if that makes any sense).

I still think it sounds great but my opinions have come down to earth a little.
