Scratch tracks of 2 new songs

Hey everyone. Take a listen, and let me know what you think about the concept of these two songs. Ignore the crappy drums and production. These are just scratch tracks I put together to present to the rest of the band. We will rerecord as a group with better production. Click the linky to listen.

    The Mystic:
I actually think that cheesy tight drum sound works quite well with your guitars!
I don't like the double kick drum after the chorus. I think it works better as a driving straight ahead beat.
Its a good tune but it really needs something else. Maybe the vocals will be a good countermelody to the chords.
Did you not modulate the chords on the lead? Or am I not hearing it?

    Blue Riff:
This is more of a bed for leads than a song. Good riff.

On the Mystic: OOps, I knew I forgot yo do something, Note to self. Use relative minor!!!! We are working on the lyrics and it is starting to sound really cool with a real drummer.

On Blue Riff: yes, that was just a guitar masturbation that we may work into the shows. I would rather jam an instrumental than just play a bunch of guitar solo riff's/noise.

But I thought that was the whole idea of the genre.....

Mystic: I look forward to hearing with the real drummer, when you say 'we' some details of the collaber's would be good.

I look forward to hearing these scratches when they've been itched.

Mystic was cool. Work them up.... I thought the "scratch" tracks sounded pretty good.
