dimesion pro terribly DISTORTED

using Core 2 duo 2.13ghz/2 gig ddrs-533 ram Creation Station - Moto 896hd audio interface. with Sonar 7.0.2


After doing a CLEAN CAKEWALK uninstall..then reinstalling sonar 7.0.2 ....dimesion pro and expansions and updates are terribly DISTORTED....WHAT can I do to remidy this problem.

    First you can do is discribe your problem much more detailed.

    what sample rate is your project?

    also try upping your asio buffers.. see if that improves matters.e.g. if it's 256, whack it up to 512 etc

    but you do need to go into specifics as Vovchik said.

    THANKS EVERYONE,
    I changed the drivers to aisio and the buffers to 512...this has gotten dimension to at lease sound (without distortion) and NEW INSTANCES load and sound with no glitch....however I am right back to my OLD PROBLEM of none of my existing instances of dimesion sounding or being able to play through-I don't get a warning/error message telling me that it failed to load,and the program that it included is present, but NO SOUND...also NEW INSTANCES are taking Names(instance numbers) of already existing dimesion instances....STILL NEED HELP...........well on to trying to reinstall RAPTURE now!!

    jdc your running the update patches for DP also? I use the updated VST one as sonar isn't my only DAW.

    a few things for you 2 check.. the synth properties.. open the synth rack, press "o" (not the number ) and see if your outputting both the midi and audio for the synth (both should be ticked)

    then the channels in sonar itself.. are they midi echoing... armed , solo'd ?

    that sounds like the issue, a quick check will confirm that if thats the case.

    naming the instances with different names also helps you know whats what..

    when you open the 2nd or 3rd etc.. instance, remember it doesn't load up any sound by default, you have to specify one from the browser.
