Exporting From GTP3

Do I have to buy Cakewalk's MP3 encoder or can I use a freebie like 'LAME'? I want ot export some experiments I've been doing for a friend, but GTP3 is telling me I need to buy their encoder.

Thanks in advance!

    Nope, you don't have to buy it, it's a trial version with option after 30 days. You can export out as a WAV then convert to MP3. I use Switch Sound Converter, a freebie from;

    I'm finding that there are alot of "freebie" things out on the net and most haven't cost me anything.I using Switch also but if you have a DVD recorder on your computer you might already have encoder software installed. If you have any questions about what you need to do or have come to the forum and ask about it first. It may save you some money and at the least you'll know more about what to do. Most of all have fun!

    Hi there Jumhed

    Another two I can recommend are C-Dex and Shuang's - both are free

    Shaung's Wav to Mp3 converter is drag and drop simple and is very quick, but the resultant file is pretty good for such ease of use.

    Download it from here: http://www.shuangsoft.com/

    The C-Dex is a very sophisticated encoder that includes a variable bitrate option - for 95% of my mp3 conversions, it's my go to encoder.

    Dowload from: http://www.cdexx.info/uk/
