[Track] Id5

another one in the Id series, again, this is minimal house (I guess).

there's a lot of microtonic in this, some hardware synths, and one or two software synths.

    Seb,

I bit minimalist for my tastes, tho it picks up nicely. I guess it is the long intro (which is what you want on the dance floor, so pay no attention to the man behind the curtain on that). Really nice bass, tho it dipped down a few times too low for my computer speakers. Once again the mix and production values are high and nice use of space.

I didn't quite like this one as much as some of your recent works, sorry man, I just didn't like the fact that you tried to use your percussive elements as more of the melody in the first bits....around the 2:10 mark it does get quite nice tho.....I see why the long intro, but I too feel that it should pick up a bit quicker.

Very very cool....... top notch production!

I love the way you use those delicate sounds to make such an 'impacting' production. IMO the timing of all the various developments is spot on. At the end of the day this is house music so it sure will takes it time if that's what it wants to do

The very un-rushed feel is something that I may work on myself one day. But i dont find it easy!!

Me too! In contrast to the other responders, I actually like the long intro and the minimal build. The rhythmic/melodic progression and build is subtle and understated, but it's enough to keep me interested. I like the minimal house stuff and I'm always impressed by people who can do it well (because I can't!). Great job!

    well, thanks everyone for listening.

Yeah, the intro was done in a "dj friendly" way, it might be a bit too long though, I don't know how many bars a good "dj" intro should last for...

anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the tune.

Music is hot at the end. Nice track overall, but I am a bit one the fence with the long wait for that. Maybe I just have little experience with the genre to know better. Overall it is a nice track. Microtonic = best drum synth ever.
