Cool Edit Pro sucketh

It's not particularly intuitive like the Cakewalk GUI is.

    I'm not privvy to Cool Edit Kain but I know the Guitar Tracks interface was specifically designed to appeal to guitarists who would be likely to be familiar with the layout and features of cassette based Portastudio type hardware.

    I think that's probably why it is so easy to get around, and as you say, intuitive - it's also why it doesn't have any MIDI capability.
