OT: My tree has fallen and I can't get up

Just when I think I have some time to sit down and pull out all my music stuff and do some recording, wife's on a business trip and while she's away I INTENDED to play, I look out my window and see cars lined up in front of my house. Well, I walked to the window to see if my dog had gotten run over when I noticed my Black Walnut tree was laying across the road. Oh whoa is me. Being a profession wimp, Holding a chainsaw, which when I do everyone scatters, why is that? Anyway, I'm off to start cutting and cutting and cutting......sure is windy here......

What a windfall! No pun intended...........Make sure to cut the walnut into shapes roughly like a guitar body. Walnut's a great wood for a bass! Talk about turning lemons into lemonade!

Don't burn it Bill! Cut it into lengths just slightly longer than a guitar body. The take the pieces down and get 'em milled to build a guitar!

I heard from an old neighbor of mine from where we used to live that the new owners cut down the alder tree I had growing in the front yard. Now if I would have done the smart thing I would have insisted on cutting the tree up and having a few body blanks made before we sold the house. I coulda had me some fine guitar bodies......

If a tree falls in the street-does anybody hear it?

If a man is alone in a forest, and he says something, is he still wrong?
