New "Project Shed" Tune - Goodbye Again

As Tony and I take a brief break from our "Distant Towers" work due to real-world work-loads I figured I keep working and came up with this fun-quirky lil tune....hope you enjoy and love to hear some feedback and input! I'm goin to go in over the next week or so and tweak-in so I'm guessing shes about 70%...really need to get some of the breathiness outta her.....but its all in fun.

Hope all's well in your part of the world!

Peace, Pogue

Should be the latest tune on the Project Shed link below...

Tom....i love it. Soooooo wonderfully creative and light and wry. production/arrangment is great.

I'll be listening to it a lot today.

    (adds nyquil to shopping list....)

Tom - Hey, I love the percussion used on this! Sounds like a Roy Rogers/western vibe. Right up my alley! The eq'd vox sounds good on this. Is that a Tuba or Oboe patch on this? I thought this was well done man. Love the ending...

THANKS for the smile man, I love the lyrics. A very unique song that I enjoyed very much. I know you added alot to the vox but what mic do you use to record your vocals. That was just a really cool tune.

Nice tune. I like the percussion and the vocal stands out as something that caught my ear. Mix sounded real balanced on my system.

Love the shed. The wood shed? Not so much, but the project is always fun. This an interesting tune, I'm not sure about the vocal treatment, but I know that's what you were going for. There's this odd vocal (not bad, just different), but the rest of the mix behind it isn't "popping". It seems like there should be oh, well there's an interesting change, with the yippie ka a MF? (Bruce Willis...). So that's kinda what I was talking about, but it didn't come until the end?

Well, it was interesting, and different as usual. It held my attention to the end.

That was an interesting one :-) Definitely off the beaten path, which is a good thing. It has a really nice, lude-gubrious vibe to it.

    Tom I love that feel.
Reminded me very much of the Beatles "If I Fell In Love" when it started.
Sure enjoyed and looking forward to hear when your finished.

    Tom,
Great tune, a very unique vibe to be sure! I'll always think of this one as the 3 Nyquil mix! I agree with James, the ouija board lyric is one strange piece of prose but in a good way. A very nice addition to the Project Shed body of work!

Wow, that was great. Really enjoyed the instrumental part as well and it would make for a great rap beat (couldnät help myself from freestyling to it, damn what a great harcore rap song it could be ha ha ha).

EDIT: Listened to 'Hold On' Will listen to Godbye Again more tommorrow (just had a quick listen at crappy speakers but liked it).

Robby - Thanks for the peek into the "Shed". The vox treatment kinda "is what ii is" but as I mentioned in another thread I'm mixing w/headphones only…so I know I'm missing a lot..maybe that’s the "non-popping" issue…but I cant really be sure sorry to say. Like everything I do…I throw do-do on the wall..some sticks..some don’t so I don’t think too deeply about overall structure….so without sounding like an arse it is what it is..(again) glad you found it interesting and thanks for the input!

Dlogan - Thanks brudda! Glad you enjoyed the weird tune…some of us are just like that!! lol Made my day!

James - Don't throw that Oiji board out yet!...I even LOL'ed after I sang it! (what a dumb arse I am..lol) fun stuff Thanks again!

Mamabear - It kept your intrest like an auto accient…lol just couldn't turn away?..lol Just funnin Thanks for the good words!

Clean - Thanks for the listen and glad you got a kick outta it!

Droddey - Lude-gubrious…ahhhh yes well…then it’s a "mission accomplished" then mate! Thanks for the listen and input me brudda.

Spacey - Thanks for the comment me friend…..I'll do a bit of tweaking here and there…but can't fully finsih until the monitor situation is fixed. Did the Beatles "do" Nyquil also?..lol
Tony - Just twiddling' me thumbs waitin for the DT train…lol Thanks brudda!

RobertB - Thanks me brudda….twisted she is and thanks a million fer noticing!

Legion - I'd love to hear you rap over it!...any time you wanna add somfinn like that email me we'll make it happin!.....I'm a lota things…a hard-core rapper aint one of me…but it would be sooooo cool! Thanks again!!

    Peace!

I definitely am interested at trying to make some rap for the song if you'd like it. Another rapper at Insurrectional Entertainment, Dave Shine, listened to your song and liked it as well. I'll PM you my mail Hopefully we'll be able to record something this weekend.

(listended to the wrong song 'hold on' [latest on the page...] , 'Good bye' again was really cool as well though. Will listen to it more carefully tomorrow)
