Plug ins / amps for acoustic guitars

Hi -I don't hear much about plug-ins or amp sims for acoustic guitar - direct recording. Are there any out there anyone knows of that will provide a good sound for an acoustic?

Hmm...one thing I can't stand is the sound of an acoustic recorded direct.
There just doesn't seem to be a good way to capture the "real" sound an acoustic without a mic.
I'd love to hear about it if there was.

Well I will agree it does not beat a mic - can sound pretty decent through a tube pre-amp. Right now I have a single channel interface, so doing the x-y 2 mic set up is something I aspire to for a better recording of my acoustic. In the mean time I am trying to do the best with what I got.

You might want to consider using a mic, but recording the part twice, maybe using different chord inversions,
and then pan L/R. That sounds big and better than any direct recording I've ever heard.
