Instrumental (how can I sleep)

this is an instrumental version of a song I wrote back in college. I really think that the next version will be a club/rianna oriented version with my wife or daughter singing the lyrics. I just have the need to share now that I have found my way here.

This is very beautiful, Jeff! Wow--very relaxing. Just beautiful. Very well played and the mix sounds good to me. I would maybe change the sound of the snare, (or at least bring it down a bit?, but I have no idea how. I'd love to hear this with vocals, but it's great just as is. I love the inter-play of all the instruments. Thanks for sharing it! (oh, yeah, are you aware that the ending is rather abrupt?)

For some reason this reminded me of the theme from Cheers.

LOL no. I forgot I never faded this out. I just posted it on a whim. Thanks for the comments as well. I've started working on a reworked version for my girls to sing. I just can't hit the notes I hit in college anymore.

Great tune. I really liked it when the bass line kicked in. A very well structured song. Can't wait to hear it with lyrics.

Sure has a nice feel. Having your family sing is a great idea. That would make it special for all time.
Would really like to hear that. (and with an ending)

Beautiful - love the space on this tune - great melody - playing is very good.

Overall, sounds good to my ears.

Really nice composition. Would love to hear a more realistic guitar, but you did a great job with it. Keep up the good work.

Thanks all. I think Ill start on this one next. oddly enough the melody that I used on this was an improve over some of the accompaniment elements of the original. It is not the melody that the song uses. Im finding it fairly difficult to put an updated sound to this. but thats the challenge now isnt it?

Very nice, I would prefer real guitars... The aftertouch thing on the guitar patch is a little distracting, but otherwise, this is a wonderful arrangement... Well done...

Jeff - this is a great tune, beautifully played and wonderfully produced. Great sounding acoustic.

If this song does help wind down your day, then nothing well.

    Easy listening pop.

Drums might be wider-panned with more variations?

Sweet and rich piano is tasty for now.

Maybe a smarter rest at 1:40 where repeating the verse/chorus would help?

I Love the epilogue at 2:50 ... you or your ME will need to fade it I presume.

This is sketchy and needs work. But I love its simplicity ... This is a great start, sir!
