that sounded great. Did you do that with sonar??? Very slick and pro sounding. A good song and fantastic singing.

Right on! Actually, I work with another. We both have sonar. If you have any criticisms or tips, please leave some.

I like this, it has potential. Couple comments: overall the mix needs presence: it feels lie all highs and mid-lows. Acoustic guitar has too much reverb. The left guitar comes in nicely. Drums: playing is great, but they simply overwhelm everything, completely out of balance. The tom rolls go so left right that they distract rather than amplify the dynamics. Instead of panning so hard do it with stereo eq, this way you can get the impact without being so obvious. Vocals need some more compression. Just a bit on the high loud notes. And to quote the great Randy, there were a few pitchy places. Back to the verse after the first chorus could use another measure, to space it out somewhat more. Not enough dynamics between the verse and chorus.

Now there's a crit I like. I agree on the guit verb, drums, and more inclusion of the 200-1KHz range (maybe, dunno). Vox compression, gate, boost is driving me crazy. I want an easier way to do it. I start to get fatigue after messing with it so much. Surely, there's got to be a way to decrease the wave without making it sound thin/muted?

I started a diatribe on how the song sounded washy, then realized there was a soundclick plug-in that I could use. Man, what a difference; MySpace encoding is soooo bad You have a very good tonal quality and and it really comes through during the chorus, great support. I really like both guitars (yes, you need to remove most of the delay on the acoustic, like James said) and the drums are rock solid - hats off to the drummer. This is a extremely catchy song and really kicks. I've listened to at least five times and liking it more each time I hear it. I really like the break down, great guitar tone. Unprotected - Wow, that totally kicks. It's about stinking time that you starting sharing your stuff on this forum.

My advice: I wouldn't use a soundhole mounted pickup on the acoustic guitar. But don't worry, John and Sally Housecoat aren't gonna know

Nice song although a bit too derivative for my liking. The drums sound a bit over-compressed particularly the snare. Great performances though from all concerned. Overall it's nicely mixed and mastered and consummately played but some production required to help find a signature sound that doesn't say 'I've heard it all before'. Just my tuppence worth.

Really good sounding. The vocals sound a little washy at times but I really think that it's myspace's fault. I like the drums up loud but for the genre I think they could be a little softer. Also I agree with Jonbouy that the snares sound a little overcompressed, either back off a little on it or introduce a little new attack with one more medium to slow-attack compressor.

Sadly very reduced studio equipment as it is... ASUS G750J, 8 gb RAM, Win8, Roland Quad Capture.
