Z3TA+

Hi all,

Am I right in thinking that when the Z3TA+ included with Sonar 8 PE is used in the FX bin you can apply its filters etc to the audio present in that track? (I saw a VDO ad for an instrument that does this and was fairly WOWed by it so thought I'd just check to see if I already have something that does the same!!). Excuse me not trying it for myself - I'm at a different machine just now.

Cheers

Dave, you can use the synth OR the fx part of the synth.. and it's in 8..

thing is, with all this stuff. .I mean even with the akai samplers you can use the filters side of that , and not just the sampler and the same with analog synths, where you just use it for filtering if it supports it.

it depends on what you already use AND if it supports audio in / has a separate fx unit. so it's hard to answer without knowing that.

I use synths in reason a lot and wire them into a sampler to fx a sample etc. so it's not a new thing by any means, it's just a case of if the maker in question has included that functionality or not.

You can use z3ta+ itself as an effect. Enable 'Audio Input Thru' under Options. There's also a 'z3ta+ FX' (z3ta+_fx.dll) that will do the same thing, while conserving some CPU cycles. Z3ta+ made it to the Sonar Synth Graveyard as of version 7.

    Hi,

Please excuse my ingnorance; does Beatscape enable input of external audio source material? eg guitar, live drums, bass?

Beatscape? I hope not. I don't quite remember how they hyped it, but I think they said things like revolutionary! It was last year at NAMM I believe. This is really off topic, maybe I should start a new thread.
