Guitar Rig: Multiple Tracks with Individual Patches?

Hi -

I'm running Sonar 8 Producer with Guitar Rig 2 as a plug-in. Is it possible to run multiple tracks through Guitar Rig with individual patches assigned to each? Or do we have to open a separate instance of GR with every track?

Thanks!

You have to use multiple instances. How could it work otherwise?

    Thanks, ew.

Is there an efficient way, workflow-wise, to minimize CPU usage and still get 2/3 different guitar tracks, each with different patches?

    Thanks again!

Bounce to track or apply audio effects if you're happy with what you're doing is the biggie. When I do guitar tracks, I usually know pretty much what I want when I start, so I tend to commit to a finished guitar track sooner than a lot of people do. And, if you need reverb or delay, a lot of times ading them after the fact is feasible, unless you really want the delay or reverb before the cabinets.

High res vs normal- I happen to like how the normal settings fit in a mix; Hi res is just too precise for my tastes.

And, there is a way to double up on tracks if you wish. Have your guitar tracks panned hard left and right and send them to the same bus. Insert GR on the bus, and use the split module. Have both selected in GR's input module, set the switch on the split mix module to stereo input, and pan the sides (A & B) hard left and right.
