TTs-1 volumn

Hi i am using the tts-1 that came with sonar7 prod ed. and even at 127 it is very quiet compaired to other soft synths. Is there a way to boost volume on the entire synth?

Try raising the trim on the audio track. That won't raise the entire synth, though, just the one audio track.

    Edit: More complete answer.

This may not sound like a legitimate answer...but.... lower the levels of all the other tracks.... at least until you get it tracked. Then bounce the midi to audio and use the normalize function to raise the overall level of the resultant audio track. This also lessens the load on your computer since the midi synth processing thing is not having to be done in real time.

Double click on the TTS synth and open the synth mixer view... be sure all you track & velocity levels are 127. Also.... activate the EQ INSIDE TTS and boost the lows, mids, & highs, that will also add some volume to the overall output levels.

Good answer. What he said. I always start all of my audio tracks at -10, because as you add instruments, the audio will creep up on the master bus. It also gives you plenty of room to turn an instrument up while you are mixing. If the master bus doesn't get to the goal (e.g., -3) after you have finished the mixing, that's great, because you can put something like Boost 11 on the master bus and give the sound that final tweak.
