Sad Christmas News

There's a thread on here about the best, weirdest, saddest, funniest Christmas songs. I don't remember every tune that was mentioned, but I'm sure someone mentioned Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt. Just found out that she passed away Christmas Day at age 81 from colon cancer. And for those too young to know, she was the successor to Julie Newmar as Catwoman in the Batman tv series in the 60's. IMO Ms. Kitt had one of the sexiest voices around.

    It was on the news in the UK yesterday.. Harold Pinter the writer died also and so did the actress Kathy Staff (you'd have to be a Brit to know her I guess).. Least she lived a long time though, as did the others , thats the way to look at it. I heard a girl in my class at school died recently she was only 35 and had kids . I felt really sorry for her mum/family as her sister also went of the same thing (Leukaemia ) and for parents to bury their kids is kinda messed up

    Yes, I also heard about Eartha Kitt and Harold Pinter this morning. Sorry, Fog, not to know about Kathy Staff.

    Eartha Kitt was one of those people I just figured would somehow live forever! Unique voice and personality -- she was a force, for sure.
