Mr. Johnson?
I hire those who have no where else to go. Mr. Johnson worked for me, has served some time for robbing banks, straightened out his life, etc. I used to say "Hey, Hey, Mr. Johnson" when correcting him and told him I would try and write a song ... no matter ... it was his song and one he loved to hear.
This turned out to be an internet collab with another worker who also worked for me. He's was in prison for 5 years, got his life together, and in my opinion has a great singing voice.
It's cetainly an amatuer project on my part. I did all the parts except for the lead singing and rap - sent it via the net to my co-worker and he added the rest.
PS ... Mr. Johnson - soon after leaving our work died of a heart attack.
For the most part, it's the story behind the song that makes it interesting ... while not great ... there's something about it that works.
