Coffee House FAQ

#1 - What is the Coffee House for? Why was it brought back?
This forum serves as a landing place for off-topic threads and discussion of off-topic music related subjects. Brought back by popular demand and a need for better forum organization.

#2 - Why was my post/thread moved here?
Posts/threads that are moved to this forum were considered to be off-topic by at least one moderator. And yes, that's a judgment call. But it's our forum, we make the rules.

#3 - Is there anything I can't post or talk about here?
For the full details on what is and is not allowed in our forums, please review the Terms of Service. Specifically, topics related to politics or religion will be instantly deleted and a moderator may slap your wrist via private message.

#4 - Why was one of my posts moved here while another equally off topic post was allowed to remain in its original forum?
The moderators do not moderate the forums full-time, nor are they obligated to (as stated in the Terms Of Service to which you agreed when you registered as a forum user). They moderate as their schedule allows them to; or more commonly, when they receive an Abuse Report. They may not notice every off-topic thread. If your thread was moved here it was not done so as a personal affront to you. Maybe next time we'll notice the other guy and you'll slip through.

#5 - Why are some posts/threads deleted and not moved to the Off Topic forum?
Some posts are simply so offensive to the forum community that they are sent to the Recycle Bin. They may include any post with vulgarity, profanity, pornography, spam, flame wars, personal attacks, advertising, etc. Any post that egregiously violates the Terms Of Service is sent to the Recycle Bin. And yup, that's another subjective call by the moderators.

#6 - I keep reading about Terms of Service (TOS), where can I find out more about this mystical document?
When you registered with the forum you agreed to them. If you'd like to review them you can find it at: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tos.asp?
