I needed to dispose of a lot of old CDRs and DVDRs. Found this info:

Great info! I'll be sending a bunch on monday. Ever since the death of magnetic media, I've been going thru these things like hotcakes

A related topic: does anyone know of any CD manufacturers who use recycled materials? Say you're releasing the ultimate tree hugger hippy cd, and you don't want to be a hypocrite...?

Thanks for sharing! I used to waste a lot of CD-Rs for test mixes for my car. Recently I wised up and started using CD-RWs - duh!! Cost a little more in the short term but saves money in the long term plus the environmental impact...

Spaceduck - never heard of anyone who uses recycled materials for the actual CDs, just the booklets...
