CH post count reclamation project

Not serious, of course, but if there was one how much would you be in for? I recall getting close to 1,000 posts so, besides the demotion in rank, I think I'm due around 600.

Of those still around, who's got the biggest claim?

Heck, I'd gladly give you 500 of mine! The way a small handful of senior members try to boss around and humiliate junior members, bronze is looking prety cool to me, which is a shame as there are alot of cool senior members around for whom I have nothing but respect.

Not looking for charity, but justice!!!

I'd put you down for -500 but the database won't accept negative numbers. Your modesty is always appreciated, though...

I'm actually ashamed by my post count, which probably the first step toward getting some serious help

There's no shame in this thread. It's not the fact that you've posted over 2000 times that matters, but that the overwhelming majority of posts are helpful, civil and worth reading. Most of Mr. Rossi's three or four thousand posts that were lost fit that description (Can I get a witness?). That may not apply however to any posts that glorified the Phillies, Eagles or any other teams that are currently better than the 49ers and SF Giants (although if the Eagles do win and go on to the Super Bowl I guess we ought to be able to tolerate a little of that, no?)

600, 3,000 or 10,000, they were good posts, gosh darn it, worth being fought for...

    Exactly that's WHY I'm ashamed...

I'll take the 10,000+ I lost, just for the heck of it.

All the admin needs to do is change the number in the DB...

Oh well; easy come, easy go.

Wow! Some see the world as it is and ask: "Why". I see the return of the wonderful Coffee House posts that were taken from us and ask: "Why not"?

Well, seeing that you are from "across the pond" I'm going to use an example that you probably are familiar with (apologies to those who don't follow the BBC much):

Say that we were on Craggy Island off of the coast of Ireland, the important thing regarding the tenor of our posts would be to avoid either being surly like Father Jack or being dim-witted like Father Dougal. It's not necessary to be like Mrs. Doyle, constantly offering everyone a cup of tea and sandwiches.

So, as long as one avoids bad habits, there is nothing to be ashamed of nor any good reason to take away one's posts, no?

I know, I know, all that "feck, arse, girls and drinnnnnnnk" is the kind of dogma that has no place in a forum like this one...
