Yep, the full version of Rapture is included in the VS-700, as if the Fantom and DimensionPro aren't enough sound bending capability.

I already own both of those programs... as well as Sonar Producer.
I am seriously considering purchasing this unit... but why pay for what I already have?

Sonar Platinum 64bit, Win 10 64 bit, English,
    Intel Core i7 4960X @ 3.67GHz, ASRock Motherboard, 48GB DDR3 1600MHz, Nvidea NVS 510, Intel 750 1.2 SSD, 488GB SSD, 300GB SSD, 22TB in SATA
Hardware: VS-700 set ASIO, Presonus RM32ai, Studio Live III 32, Studiolive 32R,  RME Fireface 800, Matrox MX02 Rack, Roland Integra 7, Roland A-88, Edirol R-4 Pro, Focusrite Liquid Channel x 2, Jomeek Studio Channel VC1Qcs, Ultra Dyne 9024, TD30KV, Komplete 9 Ultimate, Monitors: Focal TRIO6 BE, JBL Studio Monitor 4412, SE Monroe Egg 150, Avantone x 2.

I've already got Rapture, and I already had DimPro before Sonar 8.

Still, it all boils down to the quality of the converters. If they are really top notch, then yeah, I'll probably save up for one of these things since the control surface is something I'd really like. But the converters are going to have to sound really, really good before I buy. At this price I won't want to be spending more for better external converters, plus the ADAT I/O only lets you use 4 channels at 96 kHz, right Cakewalk?

The converters and pres are of the same quality as the M-400 mixer and digital snake. The 8 mic pres are controlled digitally through the I/O control in SONAR.

Yes, and I've heard that Roland has "spared no expense" at making these the best they can. But I would need to spend some time with them before I could make a decision on buying--at least a few weeks with one to really put it through its paces and hear what they sound like. It looks like Guitar Center is going to be the dealer closest to me, wonder if they would let me demo one for a while...? Or does Sweetwater let you demo for extended periods?
